CHURCH C. CALDWELL

The remains of Church C. Caldwell were accompanied here Monday 
afternoon from St. Joseph, Missouri, and taken to his home four miles north of 
Leonard, where funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon. The remains 
were accompanied by Leon Caldwell, H. M. Caldwell, William P. Caldwell and John 
Payne. Mr. Caldwell was born March 1, 1874 at the Caldwell home north of Leonard 
and passed away Sunday June 8th, 1924. On July 1st, 1896 he was united in marriage 
to Miss Fannie Sue Penn, of Canton, MO, and to this union was born three 
children, Mrs. John W. Payne, of Dallas Center, Iowa and William Penn and Frances at 
home. Besides the wife and children he is survived by one little granddaughter and a 
host of friends and other relatives. He was prominent and well known throughout the county.
