MISS EVA LEMONS CALDWELL Shelby County Herald, June 21, 1939 Miss Eva Lemons Caldwell, 73 years old, died suddenly Monday morning at her home north of Leonard. Funeral services were held this afternoon by the Rev. E. N. Martin at the Leonard Christian Church at 2 o'clock with burial in the Leonard cemetery. Born March 5, 1866 in Blakeville, Iowa, Miss Caldwell moved with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Caldwell, to Shelby County when she was a small child. Since her father's death Miss Caldwell and her brother, Hugh Montgomery Caldwell, have been associated in farm and stock raising. A member of the Pleasant Prairie Presbyterian Church, Miss Caldwell is survived by: One sister, Mrs. Leberta Perry of Springfield, MO; and two brothers, Hugh of the home and William Larkin Caldwell of Canon City, Colorado.
