ISAAC W. CALDWELL Shelby County Herald, February 7, 1962 Isaac W. Caldwell, 83, Shelbina, died at 6:45 Tuesday evening at the Levering hospital in Hannibal. He had been a patient there for 9 days. Mr. Caldwell was born August 12, 1878, a son of J. S. and Martha Ellen Magruder Caldwell of Monroe county, south of Shelbina in the Greenwood community. Mr. Caldwell, a retired farmer, had lived in Shelbina since 1920. He was married to Bertie McCrary who preceded him in death many years ago. Since 1942 he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Ed Gillispie, and a brother, James Caldwell, Shelbina. A brother, E. T. Caldwell, died in 1942. Survivors besides the brother and sister with whom he lived are; a brother, Marcus W. Caldwell, south of Shelbina; two nephews, James E. Caldwell, near Shelbina; Bobby G. Caldwell, Baton Rouge, LA; seven great nephews and great nieces and other relatives. Mr. Caldwell was a member of the Shelbina Methodist church and an active member of the official board. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shelbina. The body was taken to the Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina where Masonic services will be held tonight at 8 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Shelbina Methodist church with the Rev. Jerry Statler officiating. Burial will be in Shelbina.
